Each Rotten Squirrel begins as a pencil drawing. Most go through several iterations before they are translated into the digital environment. Because these pencil revisions are done to the original drawing, early stages of image development are lost. Below are the final pencil revisions for Series One.
As you can see, Pry-Bar was originally named Clyde (for some reason.) He went through several versions prior to this. If you look closely, you can see that he once held a baton menacingly over his head.
He does have a shred of pride left, as evidenced by his utilization of a primitive face mask in an attempt to conceal his identity.
The contortionist was simultaneously the most challenging character of Series One and the most satisfying. You will note that his aggravated intended victim was edited from the final image.
Dash was always named Dash. He is a thief.
He has stolen the birds' precious seed and has zero regrets.
